Ginseng Tea
Made with whole roots:
3-4 slices dried ginseng root
The water temperature and the length of time the slices are left in the
water are the critical factors in making tea. A general guide is to brew
the tea in 150-200 ml of water for 5-6 minutes. Brewing time should be
increased by about 15 seconds for each additional cup.
OR
Simmer 4-5 medium roots in a crock pot on low heat for 24 hours or on the stove for 3-4 hours on a low setting with a little water. This makes a great ginseng tea. Slice the cooked roots and refill with water, simmer again to make more tea. Unused tea may be placed in glass container and put in refrigerator for 2 weeks. Reheat as needed.
Made with dried ginseng powder:
Dissolve 1 teaspoon ginseng powder in one cup of boiling water.
